January Monthly Faves

January Monthly Faves

Our first monthly favorite round-up of 2021 is here! Since the temps are pretty much below freezing now, we have some great ideas for you that we've personally all loved while staying indoors this month. From lounge suits to book recs, we got you covered.

Meg: This is kind of crazy, but I didn't buy one makeup product in 2020 (skincare is a different story - very into this every day sunscreen from Supergoop and this insta-famous mask from Tata Harper). But since it's the dead of winter, I realized I can't rely on a Zoom filter to give me some color. Enter: the Ilia Multi Stick for Cheek and Lip. Christina’s recommended this brand before and seriously... it's worth the hype. I add a swipe of color to my cheekbones and lips and it's the perfect no-makeup-makeup look. I wear "At Last" which is a nice dusty rose, and Christina wears “Tenderly.”

Tory: Anyone who has ever been pregnant knows how anxiety-inducing it can be. Even though this is my second pregnancy, I still get freaked out when random aches or pains pop up, or I start anticipating what it’s going to be like with 2 kiddos. Plus, there are the hormones that make you only slightly kooky during all of this. It’s hard to keep your mind in check. To help, I’ve been doing Headspace meditations regularly, and I cannot recommend it enough. They actually have a pregnancy meditation that I love, but I sometimes just do the 5-10 minute mindfulness meditations. People can get preachy about meditation, and no one wants that here, so all I’ll say is that if you are having a hard time keeping your mind in check, definitely check out Headspace for a little help coming back to your center and being in the moment.

Christina: Okay, I posted this on Instagram last night, but I think it’s worth adding here. I don’t know about you, but the pandemic has forced the Pardy family to spend a bit more time on the couch than we’d like to admit. During all of this couch time, one skill my adorable husband tried to master was balancing his glass of beer on the cushions. Sadly, he did not master this skill. So, as a joke, I got him The Cupsy for his birthday. TBH, I really thought we’d both laugh at it and then it would end up in the trash a few weeks later. How wrong I was!! I know it’s not the classiest thing in the world, but it’s made cuddling with Campbell and drinking coffee a lot easier!

Steph: As one of my 2021 Resolutions, I’ve set a goal of reading one book per month. Twelve books doesn’t seem like a lot to read in a year, but for someone who doesn’t read much (me), it is kind of daunting. For this month, I decided to read the memoir “Untamed” by Glennon Doyle, and WOW I could not put this book down. Married at 40 with a husband and 3 kids, Glennon Doyle falls in love with famous soccer player Abby Wambach. Doyle dives deep into her struggles with addiction, challenges with her mental health, and finding her sexuality. Her memoir is incredibly eye opening, funny, and inspiring. Not to mention, she is bold, fearless, and unapologetic. I can’t say enough good things about this book or her. Whether you’re a reader or not, please read this book - you seriously won’t regret it.

Tessa: I’m not usually one for packaged snacks, but I can’t get over these Green Olive Snack Packs from Gaea. When I found them in my stocking over Christmas, I had low expectations - how good could these really be?? Well, the fact that I ate the entire pack in a matter of minutes and then proceeded to place a big order for more should tell you something. It has minimal ingredients (green olives, salt, lemon, olive oil, seasonings) and comes in a pre-portioned pouch, so if you need a quick, tasty snack, these are perfect. I'm dying to try out their Kalamata olive version next!

Claudia: I recently got this matching loungeset from Lou & Grey. Both top and bottom were on major sale, so I felt like I could justify the purchase… right?! I have been absolutely living in it since I received the order. It’s made with terry so it’s definitely wearable all year round. I love the little lightnings on it for some cute detailing! It’s still on sale BTW!!

Sarah: After about a year of being stalked by Aviator Nation ads, this month I was “swindled” by a friend into treating myself to an Aviator Nation Sweatshirt and let me tell you it was worth every penny. It’s hands down the best sweatshirt I have ever owned. It’s super soft, the perfect weight, and I love the velvet details on the sleeves and the gold zipper front pocket. At this point I’m fully leaning into building my loungewear collection and this sweatshirt is the only one I reach for now.

The STIK Team
